THE ACTIVATION
Three days this September, +1-800-ART-DEPT. and Creative Africa take over downtown New York. Not a booth at a trade show — a working room on Lafayette Street, across from the old Supreme store, where five independent labels put their season in front of you in person. Two days in SoHo, 12–7PM. Then Saturday we move east to The Collective Galleries on E 14th for twelve hours straight. Shopping, live sets and DJs at every stop. New York sold its clothes on the street before it sold them anywhere else. This is that, at street level.
